Chelsea Salvatore

Chelsea is currently a postdoctoral fellow with the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Team at the May Institute in Massachusetts, where she primarily provides training, consultation and technical assistance to schools on their PBIS implementation. She completed her pre-doctoral internship with the May Institute, and is in her second year supporting schools with PBIS. During her time in graduate school, she partnered with school teams to build their capacity to provide social, emotional, and behavioral supports. This involved guiding schools through resource mapping, supporting with the administration of a universal social-emotional behavior screener, and with the implementation of interventions at each tier. Her research interests focus on behavioral and mental health supports within an MTSS framework, culturally responsive PBIS, and disproportionate exclusionary discipline among minoritized students. Chelsea received a Ph.D. in school psychology from the University of South Florida and is a BCBA.
