Children learning

We offered four types of events, listed below.

To see previous event materials, you can go to the Events Library and sort by event type or topic.

Convenings

These events were held twice a year for all teams in the SEB Academy. During these events, teams could hear from experts on critical topics, speak with their coach about their progress, network with other school and district teams, and work with their own teams on items from their action plans.

Virtual Workshops/Webinars

Virtual workshops were open to any educator in our participating schools and districts. During these events, we invited experts to speak about topics that our teams request. Participants had the opportunity to engage in activities, discussions, and learning. These workshops included presentations, breakout sessions, group work, and Q&A, allowing attendees to gain skills or knowledge.

Peer sharing calls

These calls brought together schools and districts across Massachusetts with similar interests and challenges to share ideas, ask questions, and strengthen networks across the Commonwealth.
Each series included three meetings on one specific topic. These meetings were scheduled at dates and times that suit the interested participants.

PBIS Focused Events

Teams focused on PBIS also engaged in three in-person PBIS trainings per year and monthly coaching calls. These additional professional development opportunities taught the structure, processes, resources, and collaboration needed for school-wide implementation of PBIS. These trainings followed a set scope and sequence aligned with the National Center for PBIS.
