Virtual Workshop/Webinar
Incorporating an Equity Approach to MTSS in SEB
Overview
In this webinar, Sara Niño discussed equity in school settings and communities. Summer Xavier, a coach and facilitator with Adaptivex, shared her diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) journey. She has experience working with both (K-12) schools and various adult education settings, where she taught anti-racism and equity practices. Attendees thought about equity as individuals and community members. They also talked about how equity showed up or didn't show up in schools and classrooms. The aim of this discussion was to make participants more aware and motivate them to oppose inequitable practices and behavior.
